Text Box: School Announcements

A special thanks to the entire staff for all of your hard work during FCAT testing this past week.  We appreciate all of the eighth grade teachers being so deliberate with the materials and the testing environment.  Additionally, we want to thank all of the sixth and seventh grade teachers for making certain that the hallways were quiet during the testing process.

Congratulations to the Ms. Kimbrough and the Athletic Department for the great job with the Valentines Day Candy Grams!  They raised over $300 for our athletic programs.

Progress reports will be going out on February 21st.  Please read the memo attached to this email for details.

The topic for Early Release on February 20th will be
a review of Bell Ringers, FCAT Strategies, DEAR Program, and formative assessments.  Teachers will meet with departments in the same location where Bell Ringers were developed.  During the second half of early release Donna Taylor, Gifted Program Specialist, will be with us to give an overview of the gifted program training.

The Teacher Supply depot will be open from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on February 21st, March 20th, April 17th and May 8th.  Please remember there is a three bag limit!

The remaining evening tour for the new magnet program is scheduled for 6:00 on February 21st.  Please see Ms. Fenton if you are able to assist!  We will also be adding two day tours.  They are scheduled for February 26th and 28th at 1:00 p.m.

The Athletic Department will be selling Valentine's Grams starting on Feb.6 - Feb. 13th!  Please support their efforts and encourage students to purchase grams.  Valentine grams will be sold in the cafeteria and auditorium each morning on the above dates. The cost is $1.00. Each gram will have two strawberry lollipops in a cute envelope!

We continue to ask that teachers remain at their doorways to monitor student behavior during the change of classes.
