DCPS ParaPro Assessment Test Information

Title I: The ParaPro Assessment

Who needs to take the ParaPro Assessment Test?
Only paraprofessionals who work at Title I schools and perform instructional tasks with students must meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLBA).

The requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act are that paraprofessionals must meet one of the following criteria before January 8, 2006:

  • Obtain an associate's degree
  • Complete two years of college (60 credit hours)
  • Pass the ParaPro Assessment with a minimum score of 464
