  New Teacher Training/Orientation

The theme of school year 2008-09 New Teacher Training/Orientation (NTTO) is “Growing Great Teachers”.  The orientation is a two (2) day training for teachers new to Duval County Public Schools to acclimate them to the district and to provide a foundation for teacher success.

The dates for the 2008 New Teacher Training/Orientation are:

  • Session 1:  Day 1 – “Planting the Seeds” on July 28th  and                                                  

                           Day 2 – “Cultivating for Harvest” on July 29th   

                                                               or

  • Session 2:  Day 1 – “Planting the Seeds” on August 4th and                                                

                           Day 2 – “Cultivating for Harvest” on August 5th  

All sessions will be held at the Schultz Center for Teaching and Leadership (4019 Boulevard Center Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32207) from 8am - 4pm.  Compensation for the training is built into the teacher contract.  Breakfast, Lunch and snack will be provided.
